Abstract

In 2004, all national universities were simultaneously converted into independent corporate entities throughout Japan, 10 years ago. Compared to private universities, national universities had not taken measures for prospective students until then.
Aichi University of Education has a single faculty of education including 22 Teacher Training Programs. Education of expression are taught in Fine Arts Major / Program of Teacher Training Programs ([Department of Fine Arts]), where the author belongs. Prospective students tend to avoid the Department of Fine Arts as they think fine arts is unfamiliar compared to social studies and Japanese.
Promotional activities for prospective students by the university as a whole is important. Meanwhile, all faculty of the [Department of Fine Arts] formulated a design campaign using VI (Visual Identity) to "reform the image" of the Department of Art Education.
