Abstract
In recent years, the workflow has changed drastically, from paper documents to digital documents, with the advancement of digital devices such as personal computers and network technologies. Additionally, the user's operational behavior has also changed due to the widespread usage of devices with intuitive operation such as smartphones and tablets.
To renew the user interface (UI) of the current MFP control panel, we have anticipated users' operational behavior, created an UI concept and technical prototype based on that. We then ran a series of tests on how the current MFP users see the new concept and its usability. With this and a survey on how the current users use their MFP, we have come to the conclusion that the new concept and its usability are both effective.
