Abstract
"MOKUIKU" promotion by Forestry Agency is the educational program activity for children and adults to deepen their understanding and familiarity of the culture of wood and learn the significance of wood and its uses.
We have been developing MOKUIKU toys for preschool children by the co-operation project of Mokkun Co., Ltd and Okayama Prefectural University product and information design course Hayashi laboratory.
In its process, we produced nine MOKUIKU toys prototypes. After the verification result at nursery school, we confirmed the effect to encourage child's physical ability and intellectual growth. It becomes easier not only for consumers to choose but also for designers to produce MOKUIKU toys by the educational reasons.
