Abstract

This work is a social experiment and permanent installation of parklets in the Sakae Minami area conducted by Sakae Minami Town Development Co., Ltd..
In this area, the primary associative design code is adapted to all the secondary associative spatial designs, resulting in a place branding that continues to grow. Currently, they are also working on parklets project as Street Reconstruction. The permanent installation of the parklets, which overcame the problems identified in the social experiment, created a bustling atmosphere on the street that included a variety of activities.
Using place branding for area management can increase the visibility and advertising value of a business. As a result, Sakae Minami area continues to grow while sustaining a vibrant and bustling landscape, creating a unified design and a community that citizens can be proud of.
