To spread the attraction of craft town Matsumoto, We have designed the citizen participation tour-event “Ryokōsya Mizu no Sanpo”. The underlying concept is to give residents and tourists impression that the craft has alluring potential by enjoying walking around the town. During the period of Matsumoto craft months in every May, We have mounted a PR campaign in the Matsumoto-city museum of art. Matsumoto is known for nature spring water resource. We together with residents, artists, and students, have developed a program to enjoy learning the value of the existing resources, which may help preserve the landscape of the town. We have designed craft work that is useful to enjoy the event and to establish the brand. We developed a concept and conceived the citizen participation tour-event as the author received an offer from crafts month committee.
