Abstract

Graphic Recording (GR) is a method of visualizing the discussions in a collaboration. GR, which visualizes the remarks and actions of the participants, and the facial expressions at that time, has been used as a tool for reflection. Co-author Takabatake had a habit of recording mental movements that could not be digested in the experience of watching movies and playing games with scribbles and reflect after the experience. When the author ask Takabatake about the motive, it is said that the scribble drawn in real time has the effect of vividly summoning the feeling and sensorial experience. Aouthors think that the scribble recording method that visualizes such momentary emotions can be used for joint review, so we cooperate with governments, and academic organizations. At the meeting, We tried to practice the scribble recording method. As a result, it was found that this method has the effect of “vivid recollection of the scene”, “introspective understanding of discussion” and “joint self-understanding of context”. In this article, we will clarify of the wisdoms and skills of the scribble recording method from analyzing of a series of hands-on design and reflection processes.
