神流川流域の秩父古生層について

抄録

The area disscussed here is located at about 100 km northwest of Tokyo. It is occupied mainly by the Palaeozoic formations (so-called Chichibu system), including the crystalline schists (so-called Sambawa series). As the results of our researches, the stratigraphic sequence of these formations was revised and the geologic structure was much clarified. These formations, roughly speaking, are referred to the Permo-Carboniferous in age. A. part of fossils obtained from the so-called Chichibu system are figured in this paper.
