Pollen analysis was made on the samples from the lowest part of the Osaka group at Tsuchimaru-Oike, Izumisano-city southern part of Osaka prefecture. The results are briefly as follows: 1. The pollen constitution is characterized by a relatively stable appearance of Quercus, Fagus of small size and Liquidambar, a less appearance of Taxodiaceae, and the remaining of the Tertiary elements such as Keteleeria, Pseudolarix (?), Ginkgo, a species of Picea and Alangium(?). 2. The arboral pollen correspond approximately to the macro fossil of the plants from the same district. 3. The strata yielding the pollen flora are considered to be lower than the Metasequoia zone (TAI, 1966).
