Abstract
After studying "Sanzyou-Karasuma-dono" that was called "Hou-no-gotoki-1-tyou-no-ie" in "Tyuyuuki", I've come to the following conclusions. (1) Sanzyou-Karasuma-dono was built by Mototaka HUZIWARA about 1107. (2) This was a residence that satisfied the requirement to be used as a imperial palace. (3) This was built as "Hou-no-gotoki-1-tyou-no-ie" by Mr. Mototaka for the purpose of a gift for Sirakawain. And Mr. Mototaka turned over his that reward to Mr. Nobumiti (the sun in low). (4) After Tutimikado-Karasuma-dono was compleated about 1117, Sirakawain exchanged Sanzyou-Ohmiya-dono for Mr. Mototaka's Sanzyou-Karasuma-dono.
