Abstract
In this study, a computer simulation model for wayfinding of pedestrians in mazes has been developed from the result of experiments at two mazes. The observed pedestrian movement in experiments to choose paths was translated into the choice of corners in the model. The simulation model successfully simulated most of the behavior patterns of pedestrians observed in experiments in mazes, so the algorithm of the model can be regarded as adequate and available.
