Abstract
This paper is the first report of studies on amenity water facilities in housing areas. Those studies have been intended to make the planning guide for them. In this paper, water facilities are devided into several types at first and then, six housing areas which have defferent types of them are selected in order to compare with each other. In each housing area, by using questionaires mainly to survey residents' utilization behavior and estimation for it, and hearing to designers and maintenance engineers the acutual condition in defferent area are made clear. Then some characteristics and problems on various amenity water facilities in view of residents utilization behavior and estimation are extracted from comparing with the results in different areas.
