Paying attention to expression in words of human sensation for vertical vibration, this study aims to make clear psychological evaluation. In this paper, the basic relation between vibration sensation and physical elements is grasped quantitatively. A many-sided analysis of Semantic Differential Method is done using Multivariate Statistical Methods. Through the analysis, its characteristics are tried to establish, further corresponded to the subjects' comments for vibration. The result shows a near connection between physical elements and the scales of Semantic Differential Method, vibration is classified using the scales. The possibility to evaluate vibration based on exporession in words of human sensation is shown.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of air velocity on the human thermal responses during physical exercise. The experiments were carried out in a climatic chamber at different air temperatures ranging from 20℃ to 35℃ and for air velocities of 0.2 m/s, 1.4 m/s and 2.8 m/s. The relative humidity was 50% and the mean radiant temperature was equal to the ambient air temperature. The subjects were six collegiate females and they wore a short-sleeved cotton T shirts and cotton shorts. They stayed for 60 minutes and they took physical exercise for 40 minutes. The exercise intensities were 25 W and 50 W. The physiological responses, i.e., skin temperatures at 12 points, rectal temperature, heart rate, metabolic rate and weight loss were measured. Thermal sensation and comfort sensation were asked. Mean skin temperature, heat balance and skin wettedness were calculated. The effects of air velocities on the thermal responses were expressed in the change of air temperature.

This is to propose the measure of dissimilarity on room layout patterns. The key concept is to measure it with the distance between two patterns located by the normalised vector which represents the given layout characteristics named as room association vector. Here three types of vector are presented. Each component takes 1) binary value according to the presence of edge in adjacency graph of the given pattern, value of 2) sum of the mean first passage time for going and returning, or 3) number of steps required for the shortest path, between every pair of vertices.
