This research proposes the following methods about the architectural design support for qualitative value that designers do based on individuality and experience. 1. The character of design information that designers select is analyzed. 2. The designer's acknowledgment process on the width of restriction condition is clarified. 3. The generate-and-test model is proposed to support restriction conditions operation using the stepwise refinement algorithm in generation of design proposal. Five solutions were obtained by applying it to the zone planning design of elementary school. The design solution with qualitative value exists in generated solutions thus the effectiveness of the model was confirmed.
