This study has been carried out to clarify the actual conditions of energy consumption of school buildings in Tohoku area. In the research, 1076 buildings have been analyzed severally for elemental school, junior high school and high school. The energy consumption has been analyzed on following 3 viewpoints; 1) heating systems and kind of fuel, 2) heating period of each type of schools and 3) not only the annual amount of energy consumption but also monthly energy consumption for heating, hot water supply and lightings and etc.
