Abstract

Since the 2010s, local government buildings have been rebuilt one after another. In rebuilding, there is a demand for improved environmental performance. On the other hand, ensuring business continuity in the event of a disaster is also an issue for local government buildings. We thought it necessary to integrate environmental considerations during normal times with disaster prevention functions during emergencies. In our previous report, we organized the technologies introduced in government buildings throughout Japan from both perspectives. In this report, we will conduct a fact-finding survey on thermal storage tanks that are being utilized from both perspectives.
