The influence of sustained loading on the characteristics of bond along deformed bars subjected to elastic stress was investigated. The axially reinforced concrete prisms were subjected to a sustained load. The variables were the shape of rib on deformed bars, the strength of concrete, the cover thickness, shrinkage of concrete and steel stress. The relationships between the bond stress and the slip under sustained loading were investigated and modeled based on the result of the prism tests. Time dependent behavior of the distribution of the steel strain and the additional end silps of steels in the prisms were analyzed by using the bond stress-slip model.
