A series of beam-column test subjected to bending moment appried to both ends was carried out on box-section members under changing axial forces. The results of test were compared with analytical results. The prediction was made in a following manner; Dcalculate the load-deflection curves under various constant axial forces; 2)specify the axial force-deflection curve; 3)select the points on the load-deflection curves which correspond to the specified axial force-deflection curve. The predicted load-deflection curves were found to coincide fairly well with experimental results up to the deteriorating range.
