Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine experimentally the effect of damping ratio on the physiological response in vibration exposure. The study measured palms for mental perspiration at the time when human bodies are stimulated by vibration of shaking table. The vibration was obtained from the dynamical responses analysis of buildings disturbed by earth quake motions. Theshape and amplitude of response waves depend on the damping ratio of the building. The result confirmed the relation between mental perspiration and damping ratio. At least thedamping ratio of 30 percent is necessary to make buildings comfortable.
