The design wind load for the structural frame of a circular flat roof has been investigated, based on the dynamic-respose analysis both in the time and in the freqency domain. In the analyes, the wind-tunnel data of simultaneous pressure measurements at some hundred points are used. The results indicate that the equivalent static pressure, which reproduces the maximum response of the roof, can be evaluated by using a gust loading factor approach. Empirical formulas for the distribution of equivalent design pressure coefficient on the roof are provided.
