An experimental and analytical study on deformation capacity of steel beams with web openings reinforced by steel pipes is reported concerning to opening position. The experimental results and analytical results are compared with relation between deformation capacity and each parameters such as opening position, opening ratio, and etc. The results are as following. 1. The deformation capacity and strength falls rapidly when the web opening in the area of web buckling of non-opening beams. 2. Steel pipe reinforcement is effective to recover the deformation capacity, but it is difficult to recover sufficiently when opening ratio is over 60% of beam height. 3. Steel pipe reinforcement is effective to decrease the strength fall after the maximum strength.
