Bracing members are usually provided in the intermediate points of the H-shaped steel beam to ensure that the steel structures have sufficient strength and deformation capacity. The design criterion of the structure is changing from the specifications regulation to the performance regulation, and it is designed by the various section. There is a little study of the bracing about the steel beam of the large width-to-thickness ratio. This paper represents results of an elasto-plastic analysis in consideration of the local buckling and the lateral buckling, and presents the fundamental data of bracing stiffness and bracing force for steel beam.
