For channel beams under shear bending, torsional deformation occurs from the beginning. Its maximum strength is less than that of lateral buckling strength because of sectional eccentricity. But in general, the strength of beam under uniform moment reaches lateral buckling strength. This paper presents an investigation into the behavior of channel beams under uniform moment. Also in case of uniform moment, torsional deformation appeared from the beginning Maximum strength of beam and direction of buckling deformation vary in different position of moment axis. It is possible to reach lateral buckling strength by taking appropriate position of moment axis.
