This paper presents a finite element analysis of fully composite beams and proposes formulas for evaluating plastic deformation capacity based on numerical analysis data. The analyzed parameters include cross-section, slenderness ratio, and width-to-thickness ratio. The following findings were obtained:
First, the plastic deformation capacity of H-shaped beams improves as the slab thickness-to-beam depth ratio increases. Additionally, an evaluation formula for the equivalent length of fully composite beams was proposed. Applying this equivalent length to the earlier plastic deformation capacity evaluation formula for H-shaped beams enables the evaluation of the plastic deformation capacity of fully composite beams.
