FORCED VIBRATION EXPERIMENT ON THE MULTI-STORY STEEL FRAMED APARTMENT BUILDING AND ITS ANALYTICAL STUDY

Abstract

This is a report on vibration tests to study the earthquake resistance of a apartment house constructed with H-shapes steel frame and precast concrete panels. Vibration tests were carried out on three apartment houses in many different construction steps. A vibration generator was placed on the seventh floor of these buildings and forced vibration tests were carried out. The test results are shown in Fig. 6 through 13. Analytical Examination was made, based on a dynamic model of 30 mass system and compared with the test results.
