Abstract
In this investigation, the axial stiffness coefficient was derived under any given history of tension and/or compression and was employd to calculate the dynamic response of diagonal bracings shown in Fig.-1. And some of the analytical results are presented, which indicate the influence of the slenderness-ratio of the bracing, and a comparison with "Slip-Model" is also discussed. To conclude, "Slip-Model" is applicable for the behabiours of bracing when its nondimensionalized slenderness ratio is more than 2.0.
