Abstract
This paper describes the theoretical method to analyze, on basis of three-dimensional wave propagation theory, dynamic characteristics of a structure with rounded corners rectangular section, which is embedded in a surface stratum on Bed Rock. This method is approximate, but boundary value problems between side wall and surface stratum can be solved with good accuracy by introducing orthogonal functions. For numerical example, facters to determine the dynamic characteristics of an embedded structure with square section are calculated. From this numerical results, equivalent circular radius for square section might be evaluated.
