Abstract
This paper is one of works in which I intend to clarify the Carpenter's party by doing a research of it's history through doccuments left by a carpenter's family in Osaka. The organization of each carpenter's party in Osaka will be discussed in this paper. The summary is as follows : The leader of each carpenter's party was called "Kumigashira", and his assistant "Tsukigyoji" which was changed to "Nen-gyoji" during the latter part of 23 parties. In 1843, "Kumigashira" was changed to "Muyori-ninzuaratametorishimariyaku", and "Nen-gyoji" was changed to "Ninzuaratameyaku" under the direction of Nakai. Nevertheless, "Nengyo-ji" was commonly used. In 1854, "Kumigashira" and "Nen-gyoji" was revived.
