Abstract
This is a study for planning of playgrounds in the rural district. In this dissertation, I report history (changing process) of plays and playgrounds for children after the second world war. I classify changing process in the three types. The three types are decreasing-type, preserving-type and increasing-type. And, I analyse features and causes of them. Then, I find space-conditions to develope play-life. Contents are as follows : 1. Changing process of play-life 2. Changing process of playground 3. Changing process of relation between play and playground.
