This paper presents the contents of the static loading test done on the models of three-bay shear walls to clarify the earthquake resistant behaviours of this kind of walls, with emphasis on the effects of the size of openings in walls, wall reinforcement ratio and inner columns. Based on the discussions on the test results and the contents reported in Ref. (1), each equation for evaluating lateral initial stiffness, shear stiffness degradation ratio and maximum shear strength of multi-bay shear strength is proposed.
