THE STUDY ON REMOVAL OF THE BARRIER IN EXPRESSWAY REST FACILITY IN TOHOKU REGION(Architectural Planning and Design)

Abstract

This study is to clarify the present status, problems, and renovation guideline for barrier free service in high way rest space. The following statements were obtained by survey carried through workshop and fieldwork. Problems conflicting in behavior patters of the persons concerned were clarified. Different opinions from the disabled were obtained concerning the surface characteristics of floor and bathroom layout. And the importance of comprehensive service for both general and multi purpose restroom and regional network service plan was indicated.
