Abstract
This paper aims at calculating the number of required classrooms of each subject in a junior high school corresponding to the new educational guidelines. In calculation of the number of required classrooms, it analyzed by collecting the timetables of 40 schools in Tokyo. Furthermore, based on the calculated number of required classrooms, the rate of classroom use of each subject was calculated. Consequently, when saying from the field of the rate of classroom use, it became clear about a departmental system being effective also in subject classroom type management. I think that these analysis results are important when considering a future junior high school architectural planning.
