MAKING THE DIGITAL ARCHIVE OF ORAL HISTORY FROM VIEWS OF USER INTERFACE AND EFFECT : Case study in "Machizukuri-Oral-History"(Urban Planning)

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is first to build the effective system of sharing the local community information by making "Machizukuri-Oral-History" to digital-archive. Then to clarify the effectiveness of the system from two viewpoints: 1. Eye-friendly and usability of interface. 2. informative function and information-gathering capability of effect. Two facts listed below has been clarified through at two trial-use by local residents. 1. The system has more eye-friendly and usability than the current website of "Machizukuri-Oral-History". 2. The system has informative function to remind users of old-time lifestyle. It also has information-gathering capability to gather the various local community information by posting message.
