Abstract
A series of information systems for community disaster mitigation activities is developed as following subsystems: (1) Connection of satellite communication network with prefecture office, (2) Multiscreen system for various disaster information, (3) Live cameras, seismographs and earthquake emergency alarms connected over the Internet with some universities in the Chubu area, and with 8 sites in Nagoya Univ., (4) Dense real-time vibration monitoring at three major buildings in the university, including base-isolated building. Base rooms for regional disaster mitigation activities have developed with the presenting systems in the building of the school of environmental studies, Nagoya University.
