A CHARACTERISTIC OF COMMUNITY DESIGN GUIDLINE FOR CRIME PREVENTION : Study on practice method of community design for crime prevention(Urban Planning)

Abstract

Related ministries established community design guidline for crime prevention in 2003. In comparison with design guidline provided by the police or the local governments, this paper clarifies the characteristic of community design guidline for crime prevention, which shows clearly that the crime prevention effect is heightened by cooperation by persons concerned in community design, and defines a comprehensive measure and a promotion of the maintenance and management by citizens' participation.
