Abstract
The purpose of this study is to discuss the relationship between the technology of passive system and the design method of space. Ninety three houses with a passive system out of 142 environment-conscious houses are found in the house journals published from 1970 to 1995 in Japan. The results showed that the tecnology of passive system were classified into solar system and the others, and the design method of space were classified into five types. The relationship between them were expressed as a figure.
