In 1998, the Large-scale Retail Store Locating Law was enacted. As a result, the large-scale store located in suburbs increases in Sapporo City. This has a great effect on city plannning, also. The large-scale store not based on the city planning to aim to form an excellent residen-tial area is located. This research analyzes relations with the large store and the city planning system. And it is proposed when city planning is reflected on the system, and enact zoning system for the large-scale store.
