The interviewees of the survey were people who have an experience prolonged in the business field. The laddering technique was applied in the survey. Finally, two network diagrams, about buildings and the process of design and construction, were created. Location, use and functions of spaces, communication environment, flexibility, comfortableness and energy saving, security, were extracted as influences on buildings. Optimal design solution, speed of design process, saving workers of construction, reduction of construction cost, were extracted as influences on the process of design and construction.
