LATERAL LOADING TEST ON JOINT OF ENDS OF PRECAST CONCRETE PILE AND STEEL TUBE COLUMN(Structures)

Abstract

For a steel structural building with long span, for instance supermarkets and warehouses, the method jointing the bottom of steel tube column and the top of the precast reinforced concrete pile and having no spread footing and no tie beam is economical and a reasonable structure. This Paper introduces the jointing method, which was developed by authors, and presents also the results of the laterally loading tests on the joint parts to investigate its structural ability.
