National wide inquiry was carried out in order to obtain actual state concerning lighting of living room. The results of the inquiry are shown as follows. 1) As for the lighting of the living room, the majority of respondent used one kind of light for one living room. 2) The lighting of the living room is hardly changing for ten years. 3) In the daytime, lighting rates increase. 4) The consciousness has not been brought up that they change lighting to be suitable for their behavior.
