CASE STUDY ON 3D-CAD ACTIVATED DATABASE FOR SUPPORTING MAINTENANCE OF RESIDENTIAL ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

This study makes the environmental database containing the information for supporting the maintenance of outdoor environment in a residential area on seaside reclaimed land. We propose the database system combined with 3D-CAD system, which realize the appropriate maintenance and communication between the residents and a maintenance person. The environmental information regarding the maintenance of outdoor environment, including building, greenery and ground cover, are collected through field measurements and so on. Other information, including thermal environment, wind environment and birds, are also inserted into the database, so as to encourage the positive maintenance by residents.
