PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF STRUCTURAL BODIES OF OSAKA CITY MANUCIPAL RC HOUSINGS IN SHOWA PREWAR PERIOD

Abstract

This paper investigates the quality of RC structure which has passed since completion for 75 years at the time of the demolition work of the first RC housing in Osaka constructed in the period of Showa five to six years. As a result, the following knowledge was acquired.
(1) Values with sufficient compressive strength of core-analysis specimens were secured.
(2) The carbonation depth of concrete was about 37mm in the outdoor side and about 45mm in the interior room side.
(3) Cover thickness of steel bars was a value almost equivalent to the present standard point.
