Meguro Chuo junior high school has been built with innovative planning as a junior high school on departmentalized classroom system planned to narrow-minded site in city part where a lot of limiting conditions exist: all-seated home base, installing whiteboard and ICT equipment to all classes. Since its completion, POE surveys have been conducted in order to study the differences between designers’ intensions and school-users opinions and the way the school is actually being used. As a result, further useful knowledge for planning about junior high schools on departmentalized classroom system has been acquired.
