Abstract
In this report, the tendency of the public school’s facility development designated as “Community School“ (CS) in Japan is verified by the analyses of the questionnaire’s results collected from CSs. It can be found that most of the schools recognized the physical and spatial aspect of the school important, but they have some spatial problems to manage the program for CS successfully, additionally there is the relationship of the completed spaces for the program of CS to the process of discussion and the formation of the steering organization comprising of local residents, local government, and school.
