Abstract
This study investigates sunshine simulation technique and urban landscape design using building information modeling(BIM) and geographic information system(GIS). This paper, sampling the residential and commercial mixed zone of the commercial district of Chuo-ku, Tokyo, examines the sunshine evaluation by cooperation of GIS and BIM techniques. These methods leads to a comprehensive understanding of sustainable area management from points of intuitive 3D-modeling, wide area design and environmental engineering.
