Abstract
ENEMANEHOUSE2014, a contest in which 5 universities design, construct, and measure Zero-Energy-Houses (ZEH), was held as a part of a project by Agency for Natural Resources and Energy. The University of Tokyo established a consortium with various enterprises and proposed a ZEH prototype of city apartment called “CITY-ECOX”. CITY-ECOX has flexible spatial structure and technologies that can be customized according to the climate of a construction site and lifestyles of house owners. A real size CITY-ECOX was built in Tokyo, January 2014, and its environmental performance was measured. This paper shows design of CITY-ECOX and result of its operation.
