Abstract
This paper intends to clarify the constructive differences of the wooden western-style architectures in case of the pump room, office, and warehouse at the Goten Water Filtration Plant in Takamatsu City. The pump room was the symbolic facility of modernization. Therefore, that was built by using the most advanced methods of construction of the three: the double Warren truss and the new framing systems. The office and warehouse were built by using the similar western-style design in appearances. However, that construction were almost based on the traditional techniques, modules, and spaces.
