A STUDY ON EFFECTS OF THE SAPPORO CITY ORDINANCE FOR THE GREEN MAINTENANCE AND CREATION

Abstract

Recently, local authorities have progressed the way to which preserve and produce more green along with private developments.
This paper focus on the Sapporo City Ordinance for the preservation and creation of the green by looking at its effects.
Through the study, it suggests the following there points to develop the Ordinance to increase more green in private lands. They are; to include residential developments in the category of the Ordinance, to set the criteria for the location of greening in a planning plan and the amount of greening in a planning section, and to develop the monitoring system.
