Abstract

The purpose of SUZUNOYA-ISEKI-HOZONKAI is the preservation and utilization of the former house and calligraphies, books, and other materials related to Motoori Norinaga. But the main project was restricted to the relocation of the former house because of fund shortage. Collection and exhibition was mainly done at the storehouse and the former house, and other facilities nearby were used for conservation. Activities of SUZUNOYA-ISEKI-HOZONKAI were multiple preservation that preserved the former house and keped related materials. The preservation activities of SUZUNOYA-ISEKI-HOZONKAI is evaluated as a sprout practical example when the system of preservation of the calligraphies, books was underdeveloped.
