This study clarifies actual condition and issues of marina development in coastal area of the Hamanako Lake by empirically method as follows: 1) the facility outline and the location characteristics of marina, 2) the regulatory overview of five laws regulation on national land utilization, and 3) the issues due to neighboring relations with the surroundings of marina are clarified. The following results are obtained by these. 1) There were 35 of marinas confirmed in Hamanako Lake. 2) Many marinas are located in the north western part of Hamanako Lake. 3) Regulation on the location of marina development is not effected enough.
