Abstract

This paper clarifies the following: First, the four art pieces in Maison de Pèlerins by Le Corbusier are edited photographic prints based on existing artworks. Second, the placement of the art pieces depicting the life of Christ within the Maison de Pèlerins is related to the building’s plan. The investigation from 2009 to 2018 identifies the original artworks upon which the highly deteriorated prints were based. During restoration works, the original artworks were digitalized and prints were recreated. This research helps to preserve the building for future use by providing the data to Fondation Le Corbusier and l’ A.O.N.D.H.
